Mine of Information was a cross-sectoral project led by the University of Wales Swansea and funded by the Research Support Libraries Programme. It ran from 2000 to 2002. The aims of the project were to improve access to research resources relating to the South Wales Coalfield by creating online catalogue records for archives and printed books located in partner institutions, holding the records in EAD and MARC databases at the University of Wales Swansea, and enabling cross-searching of these by the end-user via the Web.

Archives Hub

The Archives Hub provides a single point of access to 18,896 descriptions of archives held in more than 90 UK universities and colleges. At present these are primarily at collection-level, although complete catalogue descriptions are provided where they are available. The Archives Hub forms one part of the UK's National Archives Network, alongside related networking projects.
GENUKI – UK & Ireland Genealogy

The aim of GENUKI is to serve as a "virtual reference library" of genealogical information that is of particular relevance to the UK & Ireland. It is a noncommercial service, provided by an ever-growing group of volunteers in cooperation with the Federation of Family History Societies and a number of its member societies.

AGOR – Slate Quarrying in North Wales – Coal Mining in South Wales

AGOR is a loose partnership between two constituent projects:
The main aim of the AGOR partners is to bring together materials relating to the industrial heritage of North and South Wales, which illustrate the enormous effect that the slate-quarrying and coal-mining industries had on their respective communities. We will digitise materials in a wide range of formats and make these available on the Web. AGOR will promote awareness of the history of Wales both within Wales and further afield, as well as fostering a sense of community among those living and working in Wales today.
