The Tredegar Development Trust was set up in 1995 with the aim of providing a focus for the renewal and regeneration of Tredegar and District. It concentrates on the development of community initiatives and the promotion of new projects that will be of benefit to the local community.

The Trust works with a wide range of organisations and individuals committed to the economic, social and environmental regeneration of Tredegar. Working in partnership, the Trust aims to create a better future for its residents, with improved life chances, a greener place to live and opportunities to succeed.

Trust Management

Anyone interested in participating in the renewal and improvement of Tredegar is invited to become an ordinary member of the trust. This entitles you to voting rights at the Annual General Meeting and ordinary meetings, a regular newsletter keeping you up to date on the work of the Trust. You can also use services and facilities at the Trust and have the opportunity to influence policy-making and future plans.

The day to day running of the Trust is the responsibility of the Board of Directors. The majority of the Board are elected from ordinary membership. County Borough and Town Council also have representatives on the Board. The Trust employees a Director and administrative staff plus appropriate professional staff to manage its projects and to secure future funding and sponsorship.
