Situated
in the heart of Neath Town Centre, Queen Street Local Action Centre is
a thriving 'one-stop shop' for advice, guidance and learning in the community.
The Centre is part of Neath Port Talbot College Faculty of Lifelong Learning
and Employment.
As part of the College outreach provision, the Centre offers a range of adult learning programmes and other support services such as guidance, secretarial services and information on education and training provided by the College and other providers.
Courses start with beginner programmes through to degree level across a range of subjects. The Centre also has a fully-equipped Learndirect Learning Centre which offers a wide range of online learning programmes. As a partner in the Neath Port Talbot New Learning Network, the Centre forms part of a linked network of Local Action Centres.
Within the locality, the Centre has several satellite learning centres which include Neath main campus, Neath YMCA, Melin Advice Centre, Cwrt Sart Comprehensive School and Llansawel Community House. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm and Saturday 9.30 - 12 noon.
