Your hosts will be the Community University of the Valleys Partnership, (CUVP), a widening access initiative, led by the Department of Adult Continuing Education at Swansea University.

CUVP is a network of education providers, incorporating Universities and community learning organisations in the West Wales & Valleys region of the UK.

The Partnership aims to widen participation in higher learning by bringing learning closer to home and by making it relevant to local needs. Working collaboratively, there is a focus on developing appropriate community based lifelong learning opportunities, from informal to degree level.

CUVP also promotes good practice in all aspects of adult and community learning and facilitates innovation in such areas as curriculum development, teaching methods, staff development, research and learner support. Since 1998, coordination of the Partnership has been supported by European Social Funds.
