Summary:

This will be a presentation illustrated with musical examples.

The Presentation offers a living model deriving from spontaneous intercultural musical practices of the people in the Carpatho-Danubian Area, perceived for the first time by Béla Bartók. The main issue is:  the model of creative and mutual influence, which brings benefits.

The presentation analyzes those elements and attitudes characteristic of mutual creative  influence phenomenon, which can be valued in the educational practice of those European areas where the national and cultural tradition is integrated in their education. The main discussion points are:

 - the author’s personal experience concerning the presence of spontaneous intercultural influence

- presentation of Béla Bartók’s writings focusing on the manner in which mutual influence is achieved in the folk music of the people living in the Carpatho-Danubian Area- (with musical exemplifications)

 - reflection of capitalizing possibilities in building interethnic and intercultural relationships of the favourable factors resulting from the living model.

The Presentation addresses all those interested in the improvement of intercultural and inter human relationships, and those who appreciate folk music and are interested in national and ethnical traditions.
