Summary:
Cyfanfyd is a membership organisation working to promote education for global citizenship in Wales. It recognises the value of global perspectives in all education curriculum areas and supports the building of a confident and outward looking Wales in which all have an understanding of their rights and responsibilities as global citizens.
This participatory workshop will focus on globalisation, its effects on communities locally and internationally, and the need for communities to feel empowered to take action.
The workshop will also consider the role adult education can play in addressing these issues.
CYFANFYD is a membership organisation that was formed to support and promote the work of organisations aiming to bring a better understanding of global and development issues to Wales. Members include WEA, Oxfam, Save the Children Fund, Wales Youth Agency, UNICEF. Cyfanfyd works in the following sectors – Formal Education, Youth Work and Lifelong Learning.
